I gave my 6 year old daughter the Phoenix bracelet. She had been going through a big transition from still being a little girl, dependent on adults for everything, to really rising up to the challenge of kindergarten and taking responsibility for herself and her personal needs. She had started getting herself up, dressed and ready for school every day; making her bed; showering herself; organizing her room and being super helpful around the house. When I gave her the bracelet, though she didn’t necessary rise up and overcome adversity, she rose up to the challenge of being independent and responsible. When I told her this, she started cry and said she loved it. She hasn’t taken it off for the past 10 months, even though the elastic can use a switch out. She just loves it the way it is and she says that every time she wears it, she feels proud of herself. Every time I see her wearing it, I feel emotional as well, thinking about how quickly to she got to this phase in her life.
Thank you for creating such inspiring and creative pieces!
