Yes, I agree, it's waaayyyy to early to start talking fall boot fashion. However, an edge is an edge. Last fall the "IT" boot was this Loeffler Randall flat boot (shown above from Shopbop for $750.). It's not going away, so unless you plan to invest that kind of money, start looking for an alternative cool flat boot so when fall comes, your way ahead of the game (and the bank.) Check out these below for $85 from Zappos.:

Stars In Stripes
Maybe its a tribute to those sailors or your (distant) cousin in the clink, but I am noticing more and more stars wearing stripes. Most recently Kate Moss in a black and white stripe blouse with a bow-tie neck, but I am loving this tunic from Vivienne Westwood. Click here to buy.

LoveQuotes Scarves
This trend seems to only be getting stronger. Now it seems every celebrity is wearing their LoveQuotes Scarf around their neck. The question I am asking - what makes these so special other than their $85 price tag? Made of Italian linen and super soft, each scarf comes with an inspirational quote on the tag and 10% of net profits go to International Children's Charities. Well, that doesn't exactly answer the question for me, but see them on all the young stars including Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes, Lauren Conrad and more at Singer 22.

Summer Lawn Consideration
It's that time year again and we hear the hum of lawnmowers, blowers and weed wackers. Not to mention the fertilizers and sprinklers. Of course, these (like everything, it seems!) have major environmental consequences. For instance, the average American lawn can use over 20,000 gallons of water each summer. Want 12 easy steps to have a more eco-friendly lawn care routine? Read this great article from lowimpactliving.com.

Can a T-Shirt End Poverty?
OmniPeace believes that it can! These t-shirts have raised over $150,000.00 for the Millennium Promise. OmniPeace was founded by LA-based entreprenuer Mary Fanaro whose vision was to address vital humanitarian as well as further awareness of extreme poverty in sub-saharan Africa while also garnering support for the Millennium Promise. Millennium Promise continues to ease the needless suffering of thousands of people in sub-Saharan Africa. Ms. Fanaro believes that if we all do our part, we can save the lives of 30 million children who would otherwise die before reaching the age of 5. Her long term goal is to raise enough funds to sponsor an OmniPeace village which would require a donation of $350,000 a year for 5 years and if her success with this campaign so far is any indication, the goal is very achievable. And you can help just by buying a really cool t-shirt (they now have chic totes, scarves, bracelets and hats!) Visit OmniPeace to see the celebrities involved (Courtney Cox and David Arquette shown above) and how totally cool the products are! P.S. They also make great gifts.
