If you have ever received a true care package, then you know the excitement of getting a box filled with tiny thoughtful things from a loved one. My mom sent them to me throughout college (and i still get them from her on occasion). We received one today from my sister in law that had a gift for everyone in the family. It was so much fun to open. The best at giving care packages (other than my mom) is my friend Stephanie who is so incredibly creative and thoughtful. She can fill a whole box with things that she doesn't need any more, but things that are ultimate treasures to me. She attaches silly notes to each of the things to give them more meaning and to give me a laugh. I am going to start sending more care packages at random as I know how much joy they bring to whoever is on the receiving end. In fact maybe it is time I reversed the cycle and started being the one to send care packages to my mom!
