If you don't know about this organization, Conservation International, it is really worth
checking out. I had the honor of being a guest last night at the Conservation International benefit in San Francisco, courtesy of Juice Beauty founder, Karen Behnke. Thomas Friedman was the guest speaker, and you know how I love him and his latest book
Hot, Flat and Crowded, so it was a fabulous evening, oh except the part where he says that Al Gore owes us all an apology. Friedman said that his friend, Al Gore, should come out publicly and admit that he was wrong about the pace of Global Warming. That instead, he way UNDERESTIMATED the problem- that our situation is so much more dire than even the Vice President had projected. Well that, along with a whole bunch of other smart people going on all night about what a bad way we are in, will really put a damper on a fun evening. But, I loved every second of it. I love that people are finally rallying around the need for, as Friedman says, a true "Green Revolution".
Yeah - Gore needs to leave an apology on a website like Apology Center - http://www.ApologyCenter.com Okay - not really. He rocks!
