This picture represents a heartwarming story of a little girl, Emma Grace, who had been given up twice before the age of two weeks. With complicated and life-threatening heart defects, she lay in the NICU unit in a Miami Hospital with no one to sit by her bed or to worry for her. While the staff did what they could to make the baby feel loved, the surgeon, asking for the parents moments before the surgery and learning there were none, decided to adopt the baby.
