Life as a DayMaker

dm.jpgOkay, this book came out in 2002 so I am a bit behind, but if you haven't read it, you must get a copy of Life as a DayMaker,  How to Change the World Simply By Making Someone's Day. It is a short, easy, inspirational read that reinforces what I knew in my heart to be true, even a smile makes the world better.  Believe it or not, I was handed a copy when I went to get my hair done today at the Aveda Juut salon in Palo Alto.  Apparently there are eight Juut salons around the country, all started by the author of DayMaker, David Wagner.  His philosophy on conscious kindness is evident the moment you walk in the place, as everyone I encountered made me feel special.
I highly recommend Juut not only because of the kind people and good service, but because the Aveda products are gentler on the earth (and our hair) than products at most other salons.
