Remember when "Baby Mixed Greens" came into fashion? Before that it was Iceberg..ha! Well since then we have had others like "Mache" (did you get a chance to try? it is great) and at last Heirloom Lettuce Leaves. An EarthBound Farms organic creation, these leaves are extra large mixed greens and last in your refrigerator twice as long as the soft little mixed greens of old. These leaves are sturdy, seem more fibrous and taste great. Look for them at the Wholefoods and other groceries in the pre-packaged lettuce section. I got mine in a plastic box thing. (I know, plastic not so good). But the lettuce is yummy, and mine is perfect a week past its due date!Jan 8
