Clint Eastwood holds a special place in my heart because I got married at his ranch in Carmel, CA. This is actually the first photo I have seen of him that his age is starting to show, but at 78 he still looks handsome! He was dressed up for the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival on Monday. The Olsen's Influence
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen released their book 'Influence' yesterday to surprisingly good reviews. I was skeptical when I heard about it, but then after reading more on what the book was about, I actually wanted to read MORE (maybe not so much that i would actually buy the book but read it in line at a supermarket and then put it back on the shelf). They interview 20 people of influence including Diane Von Furstenberg and other fashion icons. Still I hope someday these girls use their influence for more earth saving things.Oct 29
One week to go
I have been torn this entire election on if I should actually get out of my chair and go knock on doors or make phone calls for my candidate. My brother went door to door in PA. My aunt and cousins went door to door in NH. Everyone around me is making calls at house parties. I just don't understand how this would work or how you could change someone's mind by interrupting their dinner hour with a political solicitation? I do think that going around getting voters registered is a good thing. And in my lazy fashion, I am doing this by funding others to get on the streets and sign folks up. I keep getting more and more emails though urging me to pick up the phone or go door to door. Do you think this helps? I don't want to not do my part!Oct 28

Let me count the reasons
I LOVE Fergie! And not just because she use to love my jewelry when I made it back in the day. And not because she said years ago at the Grammy's that she would support my cause to help better the world. But because she is the real deal, beautiful, talented and has overcome demons and now really has it going on! Of course I am a fan of the headband. Not so sure about her outfit of choice for the opening of the Madagascar 2 premier yesterday, but giving her the benefit of the doubt maybe she was going with an African theme?!!? You should! He is one of the 100 most influential people in the WORLD (according to TIME magazine). He is really such a big deal that I would kiss his feet if he would let me! If you didn't recognize him, this is Jeffrey Sachs. He is one of the smartest, do-gooder guys ever. In addition to being the author of The End of Poverty (forward by Bono), Wikipedia has this to say:"He is an American economist and Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. He is also the Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs and a Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia's School of Public Health. What did you do Thursday night? Well in NYC a few stars came out for Fashion Group International's event. Jennifer Lopez looking smashing after her twins, Kate Bosworth looking like she found something to insulate her skin and bones and Donatella Versace looking like she might need to take it easy on the lip injections. Oh and Debra Messing, just beautiful, although looking annoyed to be having yet another photograph. What do you think?

I love Annie Leibovitz, shown here at the National Gallery of Art in London at her exhibit a Photographer's Life 1990-2005. She comes from a great family who let her follow her dream. I was lucky to meet her mother before she died who was a total firecracker (the exact kind of older lady I hope to be someday), and we are friends with her brother who is an all around great guy (in fact when we lived in DC we bought his house that he built, of course since then sold it and now live in CA).
