Van Gogh's Hidden Portrait
A previously unknown portrait of a woman by
Vincent van Gogh has been revealed in a high-tech look beneath another
of his paintings, it was announced today. Scientists
used a new technique to peer beneath the paint of van Gogh's "Patch of
Grass." Already it was known there was something there, likely a
portrait of some sort. Van Gogh was known to paint over his work,
perhaps as much as a third of the time. Behind the painting, done mostly in greens and blues, is a portrait of a woman rendered in browns and reds. msnbc.

Night's Main Event on NBC to raise a $100,000 to battle
Autism for the charity GenerationRescue.org. They will be looking to raise the money between now and August 2nd
and the show will be celeb packed with special appearances as well as
matches with WWE's top wrestling talent (did I just say "top wrestling talent")?! This is one fight worth supporting.
Carlos Sastre, 33, of the CSC-Saxo Bank team donned the final yellow jersey of the 95th Tour de France, becoming the third consecutive Spanish rider to win the world's biggest bicycle race. The 33-year-old Spanish rider
is among the oldest men to win the Tour for a first time. It is his

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have just given birth to twins bringing their brood to 6 kids, but sources say that may not be the end for them. A source close to the
couple says that they have no plans to put the brakes on having
biological children any time soon. According
to the source, Jolie plans on having "one more baby naturally--even if
they end up having twins. (Twins) would be wonderful."

This is what George Clooney drives around in! How cool is that? Ok, so maybe he doesn't feel so cool.
The actor says the vehicle is not only embarrassing in terms of its appearance,
it also means he can't drive any of his friends anywhere. He
said: "It can be embarrassing. There's nowhere to hide, because it's
just me behind the wheel and there isn't enough space for anyone else. "But
it goes from zero to 60mph in four seconds, which is faster than
virtually any other car on the road, so I can take off with a burst of
speed if I get too many insults."
George also revealed he is upgrading the Tango for a Tesla Roadster, which should be arriving later this year.He added: "Teslas are like Ferraris - it's going to make less of a dent on my pride than the Tango! And I can take passengers which means I can make friends again!" Boston.com.

California Bans Trans Fats
California just became the first state to
prohibit restaurants from using artery-clogging trans fats in preparing
their food. Gov.
Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation that will ban restaurants and
other retail food establishments from using oil, margarine and
shortening containing trans fats.In a statement, Schwarzenegger noted that consuming trans fat is linked to coronary heart disease. msnbc.

Waxing Amy Winehouse
Madame Tussauds unveiled a waxwork of Amy Winehouse complete with her beehive, black eyeliner and a bright yellow minidress. Her sailor-inspired tattoos were are reproduced including a lightning bolt, horseshoe and pinup girls on her arms. The singer's parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, attended the
unveiling, but the 24-year-old soul diva did not. Her father said she
was working and would see the waxwork in the next few weeks.

his 90th birthday Friday by urging the wealthy to share their
prosperity with the less fortunate and by saying he wished he had been
able to spend more time with his family during the anti-apartheid
struggle. In an

Singer Natalie Cole has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, she revealed. Cole, 58, the daughter of crooner Nat King Cole, is thought to have contracted the potentially deadly virus from past drug use. Cole was addicted to LSD, cocaine and heroin before becoming clean of drugs in 1984 following a long stay in rehab. Her doctors said she is suffering from fatigue, muscle aches and dehydration - side effects from the treatment for Hepatitis C. The Grammy Award-winning singer said: "I've been so fortunate to have learned so much from my past experiences. I am embraced by the love and support of my family and friends. I am committed to my belief in myself and in my abiding faith to meet this challenge with a heartfelt optimism and determination." Press Association.
