Swiss inventor Yves Rossy wasn't just dreaming when he tried to fly. He jumped from a plane in Switzerland with his homemade device on his back and took flight. His five-minute airstream was the first public demonstration of his personal flying device which took him five years to create and by all accounts it was a huge success. He was able to fly, steer and land. He plans to fly over the English Channel. Maybe in the not to distant future we'll all be flying and hopefully it will get great gas mileage!

Look and Feel Amazing
The Cole Haan Nike Air team really is a dream. Just take a look at this "Greena Air" open toe pump. In any other brand this shoe would pinch or squeeze, but with woven whipstitching and a textured platform heel, all cushioned with the Nike Air sole, what could be better? $295. at Nordstrom.

Trend Alert
Yes, I agree, it's waaayyyy to early to start talking fall boot fashion. However, an edge is an edge. Last fall the "IT" boot was this Loeffler Randall flat boot (shown above from Shopbop for $750.). It's not going away, so unless you plan to invest that kind of money, start looking for an alternative cool flat boot so when fall comes, your way ahead of the game (and the bank.) Check out these below for $85 from Zappos.:

Stars In Stripes
Maybe its a tribute to those sailors or your (distant) cousin in the clink, but I am noticing more and more stars wearing stripes. Most recently Kate Moss in a black and white stripe blouse with a bow-tie neck, but I am loving this tunic from Vivienne Westwood. Click here to buy.

Bueno Benicio!
As we reported earlier, tens of thousands of California residents are being sprayed under the cover of night with pesticides containing partly unknown chemicals. These sprayings, conducted after inadequate health studies, are done not to protect residents from a clear and present public health danger, but rather to protect special interests worried about eradicating the Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM). The LBAM spray operations in Central Coast counties of Monterey and Santa Cruz resulted in over 600 reports of health illnesses. State authorities have not only failed to respond, but now plan new LBAM aerial spray operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is something you can do to help Stop the Spray. Taking the World by Storm
How often does a 26-year-old young lady from Mexico make Time Magazine's top 100 most influential people in the world? I am talking about Lorena Ochoa who was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on November 15,1981. Lorena is a Mexican golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and is currently the number one ranked female golfer in the world. As the first Mexican golfer of either gender to be ranked number one in the world, she is considered one of the best female golfers of all time. If you don't know her name now, you certainly will hear it for many years to come.

Living Legend
Our prayers are with Senator Ted Kennedy who is fighting a malignant brain tumor. Whether or not you agree with his politics, he is a true American legend who has devoted his life to this country. Currently serving his eighth term in the Senate, he was first elected when his brother John was president in 1962.

Which way do you go?
Tonight's American Idol final will determine the show's winner but both David Archuleta and David Cook have already won the hearts of the country. I suspect both will go on to super stardom despite their first or second spot in the competition. The only thing I want to know now is who designed David C's great necklace!
